The best of the BOOHOO sale

I recently went away on holiday to Portugal with Mats family, and as per usual right before my holiday I found myself on the usual websites, browsing for new clothes to wear. I don’t know what it is about going away that makes me feel like I just absolutely need new clothes! As I’ve previously mentioned, I am on a shopping ban and I can proudly say that I went 2 months without buying anything new at all…a big deal for me. I thought that I would as a result, treat myself to something new, but I decided to only look at the sale items, so as to sort of keep up my no-spending streak.

Generally I have the perception that sales are full of junk, that they’re just random items which they bring out sale after sale that they can just not get rid of, and that anything remotely nice or worth having, you can guarantee won’t be in your size! I was totally wrong. I decided to only look at the Boohoo sale, because I knew that once I got onto Prettylittlething, there would be no going back until I’d bankrupted myself.

I thought that I’d show you what I bought and how I styled the things I bought…I was so shocked at some of the things that I managed to find in the sale, I spent 45 pounds in total and got 6 new things! I thought that I’d generally focus on getting bottoms, rather than tops because I have wayyyyy too many tops and I’m always feeling like I wear the same few pairs of trousers or skirts.

Half of the items I bought were perfect for summer and hence I recently wore these items on holiday. The other half I find perfect for winter and therefore I have styled and photographed these after getting back from my holiday, thanks to the help of Mat! I personally think the winter items I got were absolutely amazing I am SO excited to properly wear them, as well as them being so cheap which makes them even better…let me know which you prefer!

Contrast stitch crop top

(Didn’t manage to get any good photo’s in this top just yet but it’s too much of a bargain not to share!)

How amazing are all of those pieces? Just goes to show that you don’t have to spend a million dollars to feel a million dollars…save your pennies girl!

I also thought I’d include a few tips on how to find the best things in the sale;

  1. Use the search bar and type in certain key words rather than trailing through all the pages of clothes.
  2. Sometimes the coolest bits are the ones that are the most reduced, so don’t be afraid to use the ‘sort price low-high’!
  3. To save yourself from disappointment, make sure you select your size(s) before you start looking for things, you do NOT want to fall in love with something and then find out the only size they have is 3 sizes either side of yours!
  4. The new to sale is always a good bet too, that way you can often get things that are still on trend or just an old season!

What was the best bargain you ever got from a sale?

One of mine was definitely my faux leather trousers from Primark last winter….£5 they cost me and they make me feel a million dollars…here’s a photo.
